The Huskies scored 125 points to best runner-up Trout Lake with 100 in the 12-team meet.

The No. 13-ranked Columbia High Bruins came into the WIAA Class 1A District 4 boys soccer playoffs after winning their final three regular season Trico league games to finish in second place in the eight-team standings. Having that momentum in the postseason was a benefit for the Bruins, who won a May 6 playoff game at home, 6-1, over the Elma High Eagles (10-8).

The Columbia High Bruin girls tennis team improved its record to 3-2 in the WIAA Class 1A Trico League and 6-2 overall with a 3-2 win on the road May 2 over the Eatonville High Cruisers.

The No. 6-ranked The Dalles High Riverhawks extended their baseball win streak to eight in a row after a thrilling, 2-1, home victory over No. 12-ranked Madras High White Buffaloes on May 3.

The Dalles High track and field team recorded 48 personal bests at a three-way meet on May 3 in Madras.
The Riverhawks joined the host White Buffaloes and Molalla at the Tri-Valley meet. Madras won the team competition, while the host team and The Dalles tied for first in the girls varsity meet.

Columbia High School’s final tune-up for the May 12 Trico League championships was Friday at the Spudder Track & Field Classic in Ridgefield.

The Dalles High Riverhawk girls golf team competed in its final regular season tournament on May 3 at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks. The Riverhawks had two golfers participating at Banks with junior Katelyn Vassar and sophomore Anna Schuemann.

The No. 3-ranked The Dalles High Riverhawks extended their win streak to 14 after winning three straight games last week by a combined margin of 43-0.
The Riverhawks played a doubleheader Monday at Molalla and with one win, they would have clinched at least a tie for the TVC championship, and they would’ve won the title with a sweep (result was after the printed edition deadline).
