WHITE SALMON — The Columbia High Bruins, after a 6-0 start to their season, are off to a rough start in WIAA (Washington Interscholastic Activities Association) Class 1A Trico League boys basketball as they’ve lost four straight games.

The Bruins (1-4 league, 6-4 overall) lost 92-61 Jan. 7 at home to the La Center High Wildcats (3-2 league, 7-4 overall), followed by an 87-51 home loss Jan. 9 to the league leading Seton Catholic High Cougars (5-0 Trico, 6-5 overall). Seton blew open the game in the first period when it built a 35-2 lead and eventually expanded the advantage to 40-2.
