General Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher, the Classroom Specialist assists the teacher in instruction, classroom management and positive behavior management to engage students with primary intellectual disabilities with high intensity support needs and extremely significant behavioral challenges.
Salary: The full salary range for this position is $24.57 - $29.90 per hour.Offers are made at the beginning of the range.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Must meet one of the following educational requirements:
Associate's Degree (note: if offered a position, official transcripts are required prior to start date) OR
48 sem./72 quarter credits from an accredited college or university (note: if offered a position, official transcripts are required prior to start date); OR
Passing score of 455 on the ParaPro Assessment (earned by August 31, 2026); OR
Passing score of 220 on the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment; OR
65% on The Master Teacher, Inc. Paraeducator Online Training Program; OR
Passing scores of 324 for Reading & Writing and 325 for Mathematics on the ParaPathways Assessment. Bridge qualifying score: a minimum score of 321 on either subtest qualifies for the bridge option.
