Details for Hiring for the REACH Afterschool Program in Lyle School District

We are hiring a Program Site Coordinator, Site Assistants and Sub Assistants to serve students in our REACH Program in the Lyle School District. REACH is a before and after-school program with enrichment opportunities that focus on social emotional learning, career exploration, mathematics, reading, outdoor learning, cultural enrichment, and more! REACH is offered four days per week, before and after school. 

We have the following positions available:

  • Site Coordinator - up to 22 hours per week during the regular school year and up to 30 hours per week during the four-week summer program; $37.33 per hour
  • Site Assistants – up to 14 hours per week during the regular school year and up to 25 hours per week during the four-week summer program; $21.82 per hour
  • Substitute Assistants – on call/as needed up to 3.5 hours per day during the regular school year and up to 6.25 hour per day during the four-week summer program; $21.82 per hour

General Responsibilities

Site Coordinator

Under the general direction of the REACH Afterschool Program Manager, the REACH Program Site Coordinator will plan and carry out the day-to-day operations of each local site. Responsibilities include student recruitment and retention, parent communications, school staff liaison, attendance, coordinating and delivering instructional activities (homework help, intervention, and enrichment), and other daily operational responsibilities

Site Assistants/ Substitute Assistants

Under the general direction of the School Success Director, the REACH Program Site Assistant will share logistic responsibilities at the school including student recruitment, activity scheduling, volunteer recruitment, record keeping and recording, supervision of

Minimum Qualifications

Site Coordinators

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher.
  2. School-based experience working with students, staff, administrators, and parents.
  3. Experience creating reports and presentations.

 

Site Assistants/Substitute Assistants

  1. Be at least 18 years old.
  2. High School Diploma or GED.
  3. Must meet one of the following educational requirements:
    • Associate's Degree OR
    • 48 sem./72 quarter credits from an accredited college or university; OR
    • Passing score of 455 on the ParaPro Assessment; OR
    • Passing score of 220 on the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment; OR
    • 65% on The Master Teacher, Inc. Paraeducator Online Training Program.
