Letter to the Editor: Exercise rights

These people are incarcerated in wire cages to await their fate before being processed by an already over-burdened judicial system. Many have been forcefully separated from their children.

These kids have no idea where they are, what will happen next, or if they will ever see their families again. This trauma will last a lifetime.

This border policy may be legal, but it is immoral.

There is no plan for reunification of these families. There is no plan for assimilation into our society.

The Secretary of Homeland Security has stated that this issue can be resolved by “one phone call from the president of a congressional action.”

Stop this insanity! Stand up and speak out – call your congressman and, most importantly, exercise your right to vote.
