Here’s some great news regarding one of our outstanding Glenwood High School graduates. Isabella Bensel, daughter of Jason and Sarah, and a sophomore at Walla Walla Community College (WWCC), has consistently been named to the President’s List for her exceptional academic achievements. She has done it again. She was recently notified she had made the President’s List for the 2025 Fall Quarter at WWCC. In order to be awarded this honor, the student must maintain a GPA of 3.9 to 4.0. The President’s List reflects the highest distinction of scholarly excellence. That’s our Bella. We here in her home town are very proud of her.

The Klickitat/Glenwood (Klickwood) boys’ basketball team continues to rack up great wins as the season progresses. On Friday, January 9th and 10th, they played well and had great wins against Trout Lake and Dufur. On Monday the 12th they had a tough loss to South Wasco County, the team that currently stands in the top spot of the Big Sky 1A league. But they played well and hard that night against a top opponent. It’s exciting to watch our Klickwood team, under the guidance of coaches Dion Curtis and Billie Patterson, because they are very unified and have great basketball skills. That applies to every member of the team, not just the starters. They sure make us proud.
They played Spray/Mitchel/Wheeler on the Glenwood court on Tuesday, January 20th against Spray/Mitchell/Wheeler. They’ll play at Lyle on the 23rd, and then have two home games in Klickitat on the 24th and 27th. Come out to support them if you can. Good luck, Klickwood.
