The Columbia Gorge is home to world-class wine, and local wineries are starting to clean up at national competitions.

The 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (SFCWC) received 7,164 entries this year, the highest number of wine entries ever seen, shattering 2015’s previous record of 6,417 from 28 states. Submissions came from across the nation and included independent winemakers and boutique wineries to large scale producers.
