Dufur junior golfer Tora Timinsky earned medalist honors by shooting a 1-under par career best 71 at the eight-team The Dalles Invitational Tournament March 15 at The Dalles Country Club.

This past weekend, four Wy’east middle school wrestlers competed at the Oregon middle school wrestling state championships at Woodburn High School. Sophia Keolker (125 pounds), Xiomara Gordian (160 pounds), Tristin Baker (140 pounds) and Miguel Arriola (195 pounds). Baker and Gordian started their day with a pair of wins to make their way in to the semifinals, which automatically secured them a spot on the podium.

The Hood River boys tennis team is coming off a rather successful season on and off the court. Last year, the team’s cumulative 3.94 GPA was best in the state, earning them the title of OSAA Academic State Champions for the 5A classification. Last June, the boys finished second in the Intermountain Conference district tournament behind Redmond.
