This week volunteers at Adopt A Dog have selected Susie as the program’s adoptable pet of the week:
Little Miss Susie is definitely ready for spring and the sunny weather! She’s about a year old, and likely a mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Boxer. She weighs in at 70 pounds, which is so much better than when she was found way back in December. She had clearly been on her own for a while and found safe haven under an overturned boat on someone’s property. They took this girl in and got her warm and fed and then gave us a call, and Susie has been happy and grateful ever since!
She’s super, SUPER playful, and loves every dog she’s ever met! She’s fantastic on a leashed walk, and comes a-barrelin’ when you call her name! Susie is so sweet and fun, she’s easily a favorite among the shelter volunteers. Because she’s so energetic, Susie would love to go to an active home, and if you already have a dog, well, all the better!
Susie is calm around small kids, and of course other dogs. She’s fine with cats, housetrained, crate trained… Let’s see. What else? Oh, laps! Yes, Susie thinks she’s the perfect size and will make sure she fits into any lap, so be ready!
No one can resist this wonderful girl! Life has never been so good for this sweetie, and the only way it’ll get better is when her forever family shows up to take her home! Every time I see that face smiling back at me, I just gotta chuckle! Susie is current on shots, microchipped and spayed. The adoption fee for Funny Girl Susie is $195. The fee to adopt is charged to recoup standard veterinary expenses.
