Newsworthy pets: Miss Kay a proud K-2

The Dalles photographer Gary Elkinton has been babysitting the in-laws chihuahua mixed dog, Miss Kay, taking her on his daily photography. On April 9, he was at Rowena, where he ran into a Wildlife State Trooper checking on a camper. “When he walked by I pointed to Miss Kay and asked if he could use a K-9? He looked at the tiny Miss Kay and said, ‘Well, not as a K-9 ... but perhaps a K-2!’” Elkinton said. Congratulations on your new career, Miss Kay!
