Mary F. Mayfield Jepson went to be with her Savior on June 14, 2026, at the age of 95. She was born to the late Fay and Mildred Feller on Oct. 5, 1930, in Ohio.
In 1954 she married Robert (Bob) Mayfield, and in 1955 they moved West to pursue pastoral ministry. Mary was a devoted pastor’s wife, serving churches with Robert (Bob) in Idaho and Washington. Four years after his passing, in 1998, Mary married Julius Jepson. They lived in The Dalles, Oregon, as long as health allowed, where they ministered at The Life in Christ Center for 16 years.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Mayfield, six of her siblings, and step-daughter Tracy Rupp.
Mary is survived by her husband of 28 years, Julius Jepson; one brother; five children; two stepchildren; 13 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 25 at 1 p.m. at Haven of Rest Funeral Home, located at 8503 State Route 16 West, Gig Harbor, Washington. A viewing will proceed the service at 12:30 p.m.
Mary will be greatly missed, and her memory cherished by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Convoy of Hope (convoyofhope.org) or Samaritans Purse (samaritanspurse.org).
