Huckleberry Sugar Cookies

The Huckleberry sugar cookies are a great one if you are short on time; they highlight our newest spice on the shelf — huckleberry sugar — and can be cut into shapes for the holidays or served as little bite sized round cookies.

Ingredients:

• l cup salted butter

• 3 cups flour

(softened)

• 2 tsp. vanilla extract

• l cup granulated sugar

• ¾ tsp. baking powder

• l large egg

• l tsp. fine sea salt

Method:

• ¼ cup Arome huckleberry sugar

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Mix flour, table salt and baking powder in a bowl. Set aside.

Cream together butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.

Beat in egg until just incorporated, then add vanilla extract.

Slowly beat in dry mixture until fully incorporated. The dough should be soft but not sticky. Add additional flour if needed.

Wrap dough in plastic wrap for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight. Roll dough into l inch balls and toss in huckleberry sugar.

Bake at 375 for 9 to 10 minutes, until just starting to brown.
