THE GORGE — The first-ever bachelor’s degree at Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) got a step closer to reality on Dec. 16 when the board unanimously approved the college's participation in the regional consortium which will teach it, but still needs to work its way through the state approval process.

The degree itself is still under review by the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC), with final approval possible after their meeting on April 8.
