THE GORGE — The Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association (CGOA) opens its 2026-2027 season with an expansive lineup across four distinct ensembles: orchestral, jazz, choral, and musical theater. This fall, audiences can look forward to high-energy big band showcases and a new chapter for the Gorge Sinfonietta.
Jazz Collective Big Band opens the CGOA season on Sept. 10 with “End of Summer Big Bands Royale,” a joint showcase alongside the NoPo Big Band. The ensemble returns on Oct. 23 for “Moonlight Over the Gorge” in Cascade Locks, featuring an evening of music and dancing.
Gorge Sinfonietta welcomes newly appointed conductor Lars Campbell for his podium debut with “Landscape” on Nov. 13 and Nov. 15. The performance features Sibelius’ “Third Symphony,” Vaughan Williams’ folk-inspired “Norfolk Rhapsody No. 1,” and Dvorák’s dramatic “Hussite Overture.”
