When Ted Hackett, of the Hackett Radio Co., a few days ago received a request that he bring all the loud speakers on hand to the Hubbard Theater at Klickitat, he wondered what the big idea could be. So he took over six, four of the cone and two of the horn type, and in addition a big power speaker. On arrival, together with the owner of the theater, he worked out a plan for using the loud speakers to diffuse music throughout the theater. By feeding phonographic or radio music into the series of loudspeakers, it was found that beautiful tonal effects could be secured, and at the same time those in the audience could not locate the source ... The experiment was such a success that the owner of the theater now owns all the loud speakers, and Hackett had to place a rush order for more to supply local requirements.
