Gary Lynn Hebener passed away on July 21, 2026, after suffering a heart attack. Gary was born May 22, 1941, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Fred Huston and Vanita Pearson, now deceased. He was preceded in death by his wife Sherrill Lee Hebener.
Gary was a retired telephone wire splicer and enjoyed many years of volunteering in multiple areas at the Mosier Grange. He enjoyed time spent with family, sharing stories around the campfire at the cabin.
Gary is survived by his daughter LeeAnn Raye Gibbons-Pankratz and her husband, Michael Pankratz; son, Phillip Lynn Hebener and his wife, Danielle Hebener; sister Freddie Huston; granddaughters Kriston Lee Gibbons, Samantha Lee Hebener, and Madelynn Annette Hebener; and great-grandson Alex Leeum Schoenborn.
A celebration of life will be held at noon on Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Mosier Grange, 900 Fourth St., Mosier, Oregon.
