Alzheimer’s Association hosts mini conferences

THE GORGE — The Alzheimer’s Association, Oregon Chapter, will host mini community conferences in Hood River, Wasco, and Sherman counties this week, focusing on brain health, aging, and Alzheimer’s science.
Seating is limited, and registration is required; register via the 24/7 helpline, 800-272-3900, or online at alz.org/CRF. Each mini conference runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Sept. 16 — Sherman Co. Community Center, 300 Dewey St., Moro
• Sept. 17 — The Dalles Civic Auditorium, 323 E. Fourth St., The Dalles
• Sept. 18 — Rockford Grange, 4262 Barrett Drive, Hood River
“Learn, share, and connect with others who care about brain wellness in our region,” said a press release.
Featured workshops include courses from the Empowered Caregiver series, the latest research and brain health, along with community resources, forum, and listening session. Lunch is provided.
