First Baby of 2026

First Baby of 2026: Yulieth Marquina Ortiz was born at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital on Jan. 1 at 12:29 p.m. The baby girl was 6 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 19 inches long. She is the daughter of Alondra Ortiz-Guzman and Uriel Marquina-Abarca of Bingen. The couple also has a 1-year, 9-month-old daughter, who will be the baby’s big sister. Dr. Winkler performed the delivery, and nurse Kelly Porter assisted.
