Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
Sherry Shewey has gone to be with her lord and savior.
Along with her mother and father, sisters Rosie and Kathy, and brother Donny, she is survived by her husband Doug, son Bobby, daughter Sarah and twin brother Johnny, five grandkids, and two great-grandchildren, and her sister Debbie Vanvliet.
Sherry passed away suddenly at her home in Lyle, Washington, on Dec. 29, 2025, and she will be very missed by everyone who knew her loving spirit. She was born on July 17, 1959. Sherry worked at Shari’s Restaurant for many years and made many friends there. Her love for the Lord was unmatched. She attended many churches throughout the valley and even taught Sunday school for a bit. When her daughter became in a wheelchair, she dedicated her time and faith to being with her. She loved her family very much and will be missed deeply.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on March 21 at Encounter Church, 1000 SE Oak St., White Salmon.
