 On Feb. 5, during a chartered fishing trip off of the coast of Mexico, Alex Ortega, 12, landed a 200-pound sailfish. “It took a lot of work to reel in this fish — about 20 minutes of muscle power,” said proud grandma Sue Ortega. Also pictured is his grandfather Garbriel Ortega and mom Martha, who caught a good-sized tuna. Alex is a 7th grader at Wy’east Middle School. “Funny that the fish is bigger than the fisherman!” Sue added.
