Wednesday afternoon Senior Colts & Fillies league:
We’re just into the fifth week of the second half. There is a long way to go, but Cousins and Rolling Pins continue their dance on top of the standings like they have all season. Currently, Cousins is ½ game in first ahead of Rolling Pins. Rice Krispies is in third, two games back; Gutt-er Done is in fourth, three games back and We Tried is in fifth, four games back. All of these teams are in good position to win the second half of the league. The only remaining question is if any of them can beat Cousins or Rolling Pins?
Match results from Jan. 29: Rolling Pins swept Pins in Low Places, 4-0 as Ed Busick and Matt Phillips were hot for the Rollers. Ed posted cool 213, 211 games and 563 series while Matt racked up a stellar 230 game. Gutt-er Done whitewashed Skamaniacs, 4-0 behind Rod Pratt’s typical tall tallies with a 233 game and 588 series; Rice Krispies knocked off We Tried, 3-1 as Lynn Spellman tossed a nifty 243 game for the cereal crew; and Awesome 3 split with Cousins, 2-2.
More high scores: Mick Sherrell for Jessie’s Team, 234 game.
Wednesday night Fraternal league:
Congratulations to Mt. Hood BBQ (Tyson Trout, Mike Bosse and John Riggleman), who won the second round in the hot-shot Fraternal league. It was a decisive victory for the Mt. Hood cookers as they won the round by a whopping 30 points over second-place Bloom Auto Body.
Match results on Jan. 29: Mt. Hood BBQ swamped Hood River Athletic Club, 24-1 as BBQ anchorman John Riggleman came through in the clutch once again when it really counted with a big 259 game and 652 series. Teammate Tyson Trout joined in on the fun with a nice 234 game; Get Hu’sum BBQ beat Orchard Lanes 18-7 as chef Stan Pratnicki notched a 236 game and 632 set for the BBQ boys and teammate Jason Borton chipped in solid 247 game; and Ten in the Pit waxed Tres Psicos, 17-8 as Steve Silva powered a 632 series for the Pit crew and teammate AJ Perdue added a mighty fine 246 game to their effort which offset a 240 game and 637 set by Nationals star Skip Whitley and his teammate Mac Proffitt’s 229 game for the not-so-crazy trio.
Bowler of the week, John Riggleman, 100 pins over average.
Let’s GO BOWLING everyone!
