A spectacular season continues to get better and better for the No. 7-ranked South Wasco County High Redsides boys basketball team. The Redsides won three more Class 1A Big Sky League games last week to remain undefeated at 13-0.

Playing on back-to-back nights against a very good, well-rested team proved too much for the The Dalles High Riverhawks to handle, as they lost, 65-52, to Redmond High last Thursday. The game was the Class 5A Intermountain Conference boys basketball opener for both teams.

The Dalles High Riverhawks wrestling team competed in its fourth event of the season at a dual meet Jan. 12 at Redmond High School, where the trio of Aiden Marx, Taylor Morehouse and Conor Blair won varsity matches.

The Dalles High Riverhawks and the Hood River Valley High Eagles ski teams competed in their first Mt. Hood League (MHL) slalom race Jan. 14 at Mt. Hood Meadows and seven skiers notched top-10 finishes.
