The following individuals were sentenced in criminal proceedings of the Klickitat County Superior Court:
On May 19, 2003, Dwayne Scott Valentine, 35, Goldendale, pled guilty to attempted malicious mischief in the second degree -- domestic violence. Valentine was sentenced to 365 days with 360 days suspended and credit for time served and conversion of three days incarceration to work crew/community service and 12 months of active misdemeanor probation. Valentine was ordered to attend alcohol counseling, prohibited from owning or possessing firearms and pay $860 in fines and costs as well as restitution to be determined at a later date.
On June 2, 2003, Randy Calvin Upton, 33, was sentenced after pleading guilty to assault in the third degree. Upton was sentenced to three months incarceration and 12 months community custody. Upton is to pay $1,350 in fees and costs as well as restitution in an amount to be determined later.
On June 2, 2003, Leon Jamie Kuneki, 27, Bingen, was sentenced after having pled guilty to assault in the second degree. Upton was sentenced to three months incarceration, 12 months community custody, and ordered to pay $1,380 in fees and costs as well as restitution to be determined at a later date.
On June 4, 2003, Christopher Allen Keffeler, 37, Goldendale, was sentenced for attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle and violation of the uniform controlled substance act -- possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Keffeler was ordered to serve 22 months incarceration on each count to be served concurrently, and nine -- 12 months of community custody. Keffeler was ordered to pay $3,499 in fines and costs.
On June 4, 2003, Alexander Twiggsmith Salisbury, 18, Husum, pled guilty to attempted malicious mischief in the second degree. Salisbury was sentenced to 365 days incarceration with 358 days suspended with seven days confinement convertible to 56 hours of community service, as well as 12 months adult probation. Salisbury was ordered to pay $860 in fines and costs as well as restitution to be determined at a later date.
