Grass fires sparked along Highway 197

A member of the Columbia Rural Fire Protection District runs a hose out as he fights a grass and brush fire on Highway 197 south of The Dalles at milepost three Tuesday, July 14 in the afternoon. Fires were also reported at milepost 4, Eight Mile Road and Boyd Loop Road, at their junction with Highway 197.
