Ten people from the Gorge competed as Team Adrenaline once again this year at the annual Spartan Race (Portland Sprint) held at the Washougal Motocross Park last month. The team finished an impressive second out of 352 teams (5,406 individuals) in attendance at the four-mile course race, which featured well over a dozen obstacles and challenges, such as rope climbs, sandbag carries and crawling through lots and lots of mud. Those who couldn’t successfully complete an obstacle had to do 30 burpees as a penalty. Team places are based on the top four team members’ times. Scoring for Team Adrenaline were Ben Iremonger (13th, 57 minutes, 2 seconds), Logan Davis (15th, 57:11), Jeff Irwin (25th, 59:47, first in age group), and Tim Saur (70th, 1:06:42).
