Letter to the Editor: No more red flags

After spending weeks researching the candidates for mayor of The Dalles there is no disputing that Susan Harris will bring a refreshing new vision and restore community values to the position.

The Chronicle’s “Red Flags” editorial (Sept. 21, 2015) about Lawrence cannot be disputed and I find it incredibly disturbing. It is sad that the leader of a community is so calculating about achieving personal goals and put special interests and politics above community values.

As I read the “Smoke and Mirrors” column on Thursday about Rains and Lawrence, it became very clear that Lawrence has a track record in the community

Being a figurehead in the community is different than being on thebattlefield, the “Art of War” does not work in a small community when you are willing to say or do whatever it takes to achieve your agenda.

Vote Susan Harris for mayor…. Positive change is Harris!
