To the editor:

Where have all the flags gone!!?? I was so disappointed there were no flags waving down Second Street in The Dalles during the Fourth of July weekend. They have always been there in the past during national holidays. Those sweet precious little bows on the lamp posts are not a fitting substitute for the American flag. I am not normally a zealous person, but this lack of community support for our country is so very sad.
