To the editor:

A vote for Carolyn Wood is a vote for intelligence, integrity and independence. Carolyn has worked hard for our community and is willing to continue working for us. At this time there are individuals who have made this a single-issue race and accused her of being solely responsible for our current water/sewer rates even though it would be impossible for a single member of council to do that. The Dalles City Council needs Carolyn’s knowledge and understanding of the past to provide stability for the future. Her continued presence on council will assure that there will not be another “good old boys” system like those of bygone days that contributed to problems that brought about the need for our aggressive water and sewer rate schedule.
