HOOD RIVER — The History Museum of Hood River County presents its annual Timewinder Tales on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. at The Ruins, 13 Railroad St., Hood River.
Doors will open one hour prior to showtime.
This year’s performance, “From the Glacier to the Gorge: 100 Years of Crag Rats Lore,” features local actor Todd Dierker alongside Crag Rats members Lisa Rust, Walter Burkhardt, and James Holloway and will include “dramatic storytelling and first-hand operational memory,” said a press release.
“The cast will share harrowing search-and-rescue accounts, lighthearted stories, and pivotal organizational milestones, from technological revolutions in gear and communications to the vital inclusion of women in the ranks,” continued the release.
Executive Director Lisa Commander said Timewinder Tales — formerly Cemetery Tales — has been an important fundraiser for the museum since 2009.
“The Crag Rats represent an extraordinary chapter in Pacific Northwest history — ordinary neighbors doing extraordinary things on the glaciers of Mount Hood for an entire century,” she said.
