Wasco SWCD meeting schedule change
WASCO CO. — The meeting schedule has changed for Wasco County Soil and Water Conservation District. The board will now meet the second Wednesday of each month, at 1 p.m. The public can attend via zoom links posted at www.wascoswcd.org.
Advocacy Lunch Sept. 11
Skamania County Chamber of Commerce hosts an Advocacy Lunch on Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Carson Hot Springs Golf & Spa Resort, 372 St. Martin Road, Carson. Admission is $25, including lunch. Pre-paid registration is required by Sept. 6. Details at business.skamania.org/events.

Candidate forums planned for October
SKAMANIA CO. — Three in-person candidate forums will be held ahead of the Nov. 5 General Election, as follows:
District 2 — Oct. 1, 6-8 p.m. at the Hegewald Center, 710 SW Rock Creek Drive, Stevenson. This forum will be run by the chamber of commerce.
District 3 — Oct. 4, 6:30-8 p.m. at the Underwood Community Center, 951 School House Road, Underwood. This forum will be run by the Underwood Community Center committee.
District 1 — Oct. 11, 6:30-8 p.m. at the American Legion Cape Horn Post, 10221 Washougal River Road, Washougal. This forum will be run by the Legion Hall committee.
Each venue will send the candidates the ground rules before each forum.
