The Wasco County Library Service District presents a free discussion about death and dying on March 22 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in The Dalles Library’s meeting room.
What does dying in America look like? Has it changed in the past 100 years? What can we do to prepare for our own end of life care? Are there options?
Julie Reynolds and Colleen Ballinger will lead this recurring, facilitated discussion on one of the hardest things to talk about: death and dying. This on-going series will take place the fourth Tuesday of each month.
Reynolds has a doctorate in systems science, and a graduate certificate in gerontology from Portland State University. She looks at death as a natural part of a person’s life, and doesn’t think it’s scary to talk about. Ballinger is a registered nurse and is certified in hospice and palliative care. She has been caring for, and learning from, terminally ill people for over 20 years.
