HOOD RIVER — Author and Vital Reset co-owner Heidi Venture’s latest release, “Psilocybin in Oregon,” is a practical guide to the state’s groundbreaking legal psilocybin program.
The book offers a clear and detailed explanation of Oregon’s regulated psilocybin system, what clients can expect during a psilocybin experience, and how people are using this model for relief from depression, anxiety, trauma, end-of-life distress and addiction.
Venture also highlights the broader range of concerns that bring people to Vital Reset, including OCD, autism, Parkinson’s-related mood challenges, political distress, and the search for meaning during significant life transitions such as retirement.
Venture wrote the book to help the public understand a system that is both new and often misunderstood. The guide walks readers through preparation, dosing-day structure, integration, safety requirements, and the broader context of Oregon’s pioneering law.
Locally, “Psilocybin in Oregon” is available at Waucoma Bookstore and Artifacts Bookstore. It is also available nationwide on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle formats.
An author event is scheduled at the Hood River Library in January, where Venture will discuss the book, answer questions, and talk about how legal psilocybin is currently being used across the state.
