Keeping it positive! A Wheel of Fortune contestant danced after losing $66,000 on the game show. Host Ryan Seacrest joined in and told him he was a “fun” contestant.
Brady Campbell, from Riverside, California, solved the first toss-up on May 19. She is an ER nurse who has been married for four years with two kids.
Campbell played against Brittany Greene, from Jacksonville, Florida, and Nestor Cruz, from Tacoma, Washington. Greene, a foodie who is obsessed with the Dollar Tree, solved the second toss-up.
Greene landed on the Carnival Cruise wedge, but then quickly lost it when she landed on Bankrupt. Cruz, a PhD student who counsels and gives back to the community, solved “Mini Marshmallows.” Cruz wants to teach higher education with his degree. He took the lead with $3,100.
He put $9,250 in his bank when he solved “Rubbing a Magic Lamp.” Greene solved most of the letters in the “I’m Puzzled” puzzle, but landed on Bankrupt. Cruz then guessed one letter before solving “Intriguing Mystery.” He won a Mexican Riviera Cruise, giving him $17,795. After solving multiple puzzles in a row, Cruz danced in his spot, putting his hands up to his waist and swaying back and forth.
Cruz solved two of the three triple toss-ups while Campbell solved the third. Campbell ended with $10,600 when she solved the final puzzle — “Tomorrow Is Another Day.”
