Although they haven’t had much success this year in terms of wins and losses, players on the Gorge Baseball team from White Salmon are enjoying the camaraderie of competing together with friends and playing a game they love.

The Hattenhauer Distributing Columbia Gorge Hustlers baseball team is on a roll and they’re gaining momentum toward their goal of winning a championship at the American Legion state tournament in two weeks.
As of Friday, the Hustlers had won 11 straight to improve to 23-2. After playing seven games in six days, including five home contests, the team took time off to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday.

The Dalles 11U Little League team won one of three games at the district tourney. Five teams played in the 11U bracket, won by Bend North over Redmond.

The Dalles’ 10U Little League team lost both its games at the district tourney, falling 19-4 to Redmond in its opener, before dropping a heartbreaker, 9-8, in consolation play against Sisters.
