Hood River’s Patricia Vittoria, who creates hand-sewn dolls, is a finalist in the 2014 Martha Stewart American Made contest. She is competing against up to 1,000 others from around the country for a chance to win $10,000 to grow her business, a spot in the Martha Stewart American Made market, and a feature on marthastewart.com, among other prizes.

Vittoria’s studio is located inside her home. “It’s very difficult to find a toy that is a one-of-a-kind item that is construction with high quality materials,” she wrote on her American Made profile page.
