Blanca Cuevas and Damián Rodriguez of Hood River were married Aug. 30, 2014, in a ceremony in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hood River, with reception at the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn.
The bride’s mother is Blanca E. Sandoval and the bride’s step-father is Jose Vazquez, of Hood River.
Groom’s mother and father are Martha Gonzalez and Juan M. Rodriguez of El Grullo, Jalisco, Mexico.
The bride attended Hood River Valley High School and graduated in 2012, currently working in Mid-Columbia Children’s Council in Hood River as a Data Entry Specialist. The groom attended Hood River Valley High School and graduated in 2009, and works as a waiter at The Crazy Pepper Cantina and busser at The Riverside.
Catholic ceremony godparents are Javier and Bianca Rodriguez, brother and sister-in-law of the groom. Flower girl was Camila Vazquez (the bride’s little sister) and ring bearer was Eden Rodriguez (groom’s nephew). The theme was “Romantic Vintage.” The decorations were provided by Creaciones Yureli, a family business of the bride. The music was provided by DJ Alex, the bride’s step-father and grandfather.
The happily-ever-after honeymoon was in Orlando, Fla., and the couple will continue living in Hood River.
The couple was engaged since Aug.10, 2012. It was love at first sight in Aug. 7, 2007.
