Hunt on for Wasco County sex offender

Blevins’ family posted bail a year and a half ago, and he’s been free since. In Oregon, bail is a constitutional right which the judge must allow, Wasco County District Attorney Kara Davis told Columbia Gorge News.

Blevins exercised his right to wait at least 48 hours between his guilty plea and his sentencing, she said. Deputies waited to take Blevins into custody at his sentencing, but he did not appear.

Investigators said they believe the 31-year-old man may have driven south of Bend in a dark 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500, Oregon license plate 110NGB.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call local law enforcement, or the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office at 541-296-5454.

When caught, he faces up to 23 years in prison for the abuse of the child.
