GLENWOOD HOMEMAKERS
Boy howdy, we had some wild weather in the Glenwood Valley last week! Everything from nearly three feet of snow on the ground, to hurricane-strength winds and warming temperatures resulting in slight flooding! One of George Hathaway's barns was lost and a tree fell on the old Osmar Kuhnhausen home during the tremendous winds that blew across our area. Thank you to the Klickitat County Road crews and many good neighbors for shoveling and plowing snow and intervening when the waters rose on the east end of the valley!
The second of three scheduled high school basketball games took place in the Glenwood gym Saturday, Jan. 10. The TLG girls and boys both ended up with marks in the "W" column as they took on the Bickleton Pirates in front of a packed gym. The kids played hard and provided an evening of entertainment for the crowd. The next high school games scheduled for Glenwood will be Jan. 31 along with homecoming festivities. Be sure to mark the date on your calendar!
