MORO — Harper Charter pulled away from Sherman County in the second half, winning a Class 1A six-man football semifinal game, 27-6, on Nov. 22 at Baker High School.
Harper (11-0) scored twice in the third period to add to its 7-0 halftime lead.
Sherman scored its lone touchdown — a 15-yard Robert Williams to Rhyder Smith TD pass — to pull within 20-6, but the Hornets tacked on an insurance touchdown with four minutes to play.
Sherman, which has just one senior — Caiden Walker — on its 11-player roster, finished its season with a 9-3 record.
The Huskies were under the direction of first-year Coach Paul Bish, and longtime Sherman Coaches Steve Bird and Gary Lewis.
Harper advances to the 1A six-man championship game, scheduled for Nov. 29 against Crow (9-2). The Hornets lost in last year’s title game, 32-13, to Powers.
