Trico Offensive Lineman of the Year, Matthias Posini, has been selected to the Earl Bearden East vs. West All-Star game in June.
Contributed photoWHITE SALMON — Columbia High School football lineman Matthias Posini has been selected to play in the Earl Bearden All-Star Classic in Yakima, Washington, on June 21.
The All-Star game features some of the best football players among the 2A/1A/1B classifications in the state of Washington. Posini, a 6-foot-2, 265-pound offensive and defensive lineman, anchored the lines for the Bruins this past season.
His impact in the trenches earned him lineman of the year honors in the Trico League.
Posini and 39 other players were selected to represent the East team, which will be coached by Onalaska’s Mazen Saade and assistant coached by Wayne Nelson (Onalaska), Kenny Ulery (Onalaska) and Shawn Friese (Columbia).
Posini has organized a fundraiser and is hoping to sell 40 $10 tickets and two corporate sponsorships of at least $100 each.
