South Wasco junior Bailey Udey won the girls triple jump in a personal best 34 feet, 6.5 inches, and she was third in the long jump in a PR 16-4.75. Teammate Jayda Iverson ran a season-best in the girls 800 meters of 2:28.71. Senior Storm McCoy threw the boys discus 115 feet, 5 inches.
Dufur was led by freshman Bryson Cates, who threw the shot put 40 feet, 4-5 inches. Ellie Brock had two PRs; she ran the girls 200 in 27.84 seconds, and she long jumped 14-11.75. Brock also ran the open 400 in 1:03.54, and the 300 hurdles in 55.97.
Lyle/Wishram also ventured east to compete in the May 8 Irrigon Knights invite, where junior Jack Thiemann won the triple jump at 39-11.
