BINGEN — On July 6, 2025, around 2:11 a.m., a shooting was reported outside of the Ayutlense Family Mexican Restaurant in downtown Bingen. When the responding officer arrived, he located evidence of a shooting, but no one remained on scene.
Over the next several months, the Bingen-White Salmon Police Department (BWSPD) conducted an extensive investigation and identified the subjects involved in the incident. On Sept. 26, Osman M. BWSPD has served two search warrants related to the case and recovered a stolen handgun, firearms accessories, cocaine and other evidence, but the investigation is still ongoing. Several other suspects have been identified and their arrests are expected shortly.
"These suspects know who they are, and if they would like to take responsibility for their actions, we're available 24/7," reads a press release.
BWSPD was assisted in this investigation by The Dalles Police Department, the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office, the Skamania County Sheriff's Office, Washington State Patrol and the Hood River County Sheriff's Office.
