Columbia Gorge News is looking for an experienced person to help build brand awareness among The Gorge area for its newspaper and niche publications including a lifestyle magazine, The Gorge Magazine, published quarterly.

The position requires an outgoing relationship building person who can be organized and creative in their process to drive company growth. Goal oriented with a push to lead the team for sales. A belief in local news in print and digital is a must with a solid understanding of customer benefits. If you love to be in the spotlight, work with local businesses and help them market. You value our local news, then this is a job you will thrive in.

Responsibilities:

· Lead a small team of sales staff to meet sales goals.
· Manage your own group of customers and grow this book of clients. Including prospecting for local and regional business.
· Develop and research marketing strategies for local print and digital trends and opportunities for the sales team and the business for increased brand awareness.
· Create marketing proposals for business decision makers.
· Accurately project revenues, meet and exceed monthly budgets

Earning Potential: Salary based on experience, plus monthly bonuses based on goals. Employee Health insurance not offered. Includes retirement with employer match, vacation, holiday and sick leave. Flexible work hours with both work from home and office structure.
