To the editor:
A three-foot-tall green Safety Man with an orange flag is missing at Pomona Meadows. He has “15 MPH” printed on both sides. If you see him, please call police or return him to his home. Our safety man was securely placed in our front yard to remind everyone, including UPS and FedEx, that we live in a senior citizen park, we move very slowly and all drivers should do the same.
Now that school is starting, maybe someone helped him move to a new location to remind others to slow down, but we miss him and need him back.
The last known location of our Safety Man was at 950 Pomona on the corner of Amanita and Morel drives. If you have seen safety man or if you have him, please return him to this location. It doesn’t take long for those in the park to forget to slow down.
We have lots of elderly people walking or out exercising their dogs and Safety Man was our reminder we live in a safe neighborhood.
