I asked if that was a true price and the lady called to check and said it was.I told her I would come back with cash. She said I could only do it with a card. I said no, I deal with cash. When I returned, they wouldn’t take my check, either.I’m 76. I’m not going to change my ways now. They should be taking cash, we are America still—our money says “legal tender for all debts, public and private.”We shouldn’t let them get away with this.James Virl YoungThe Dalles Facebook Twitter WhatsApp SMS Email Print Copy article link Save Tags Lawn Mower Legal Tender Tractor Cash Economics Finance Commerce Agriculture Credit Card Garbage Can Money More from this section Tour highlights needed station upgrades Commentary: A test for the presidency Your Voice: Oct. 28, 2026 Top Jobs VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR Senior Services Come join our team at Gorge Academy Logistics & Supply Chain Specialist @ HRD View all jobs News and Info from our Community Partners Information from the News and our advertisers (Want to add your business to this to this feed?)
