WHITE SALMON — The annual White Salmon Valley Reads, the local community reads program series, centers on the book “Crisis on Mount Hood: Stories from a Hundred Years of Mountain Rescue,” by Hood River author and physician Christopher Van Tilburg.
“Given our community’s deep connection to the outdoors, we’ve put together a month-long schedule of free public events exploring wilderness safety, alpine history, regional art, and local volunteerism,” said a media release.
Free copies are available for pickup at the library while supplies last, supported by the Friends of the White Salmon Valley Community Library.
