THE DALLES — On Saturday, Jan. 18, the Northern Wasco County Parks and Recreation Department (NWPRD) will be holding a ribbon cutting for the re-opening of the newly built Tree Top Playpark playground at Sorosis Park in The Dalles.

As previously reported by Columbia Gorge News, work on the new playground began in late September. Funding for the park included a grant from Oregon Parks and Recreation Department Local Government Grant program for $420,000, matched by the parks district.
