William “Bill” Hubble, 80, passed away on June 22, 2026, surrounded by family, preceded in death by his loving wife Pam. Born in McMinnville, Oregon, and raised in Sheridan, he was the son of Leslie and Zoella (Sue) Hubble. Bill was the proud father of Stephanie Meagher-Simpson and Justin Hubble, and the devoted grandfather of Ian, Sheridan, Tori, Gabe, and Izzy. He is survived by his sister, Debi, and preceded in death by his brothers Dave and Jim. His family was his greatest joy, and he delighted in supporting their accomplishments and sharing stories from a life well lived.
A Vietnam era U.S. Army Intelligence veteran, Bill graduated from Oregon State University and remained a loyal Beaver fan. He spent more than 30 years as an agriculture banker serving Eastern Oregon and the Willamette Valley, respected for his integrity and commitment to farming families.
Bill’s faith was a steady foundation throughout his life, reflected in his kindness and service. He volunteered with Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Sheridan Museum, VFW 661 Military Uniform Collection, served as a member of the Honor Guard, and supported Junior Miss/Distinguished Young Women. A gifted gardener, he earned multiple “Yard of the Month” honors and shared a special bond with his dogs, especially Lucee.
He will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and devotion to family and community. Memorial gifts may be directed to the Sheridan Museum or Distinguished Young Women of Oregon. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, Aug. 10,, at 11 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Salem, Oregon.
