The following are crimes which resulted in arrests: DUII (three), sex abuse (one), trespass (one).
Notable incidents
Three DUII arrests. In all three incidents, drivers refused blood alcohol breath testing so warrants were sought and granted to conduct blood draws at the hospital to determine level of intoxication.
Three theft reports. Vehicle, money stolen via falsified transfer wire and political sign from resident’s yard.
Two non-injury crashes. Intersections of Thirteenth Street with May Street and with B Street. In one incident, damage to both vehicles was over $2,500 and a driver was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.
Officers secured a gun for safekeeping after it was left behind at a hotel.
A nationwide felony warrant was served in The Dalles.
The Dalles Police, Nov. 8 - 15
The following are crimes which resulted in arrests: Harassment (two), mischief (one), release agreement violation (one), theft (two), trespass (four), warrant (eight).
Notable incidents
Nineteen animal calls. Barking dogs, missing dogs, at-large dogs, cats. In one incident, a person adopted a cat they didn’t know was pregnant, now needs to place five kittens. Separately, medics requested help with a dog not allowing them to reach a patient. Another citizen collected a small dog, tied to a purse full of rocks, from the middle of Bargeway Road.
Three vehicle crash reports. Semi scraped the guardrail on Bret Clodfelter Way, damaging ODOT property. Non-injury two-vehicle crash on Terminal Avenue. Vehicle slowed for deer, got rear-ended.
Three mental health calls.
Ten theft reports. Power tools from shop, tools from work van, two HVAC units, heat pump, knife and phone accessories, toys, phone, items from trailer, oscillating saw, stuff from garage.
A hit-and-run report. Parked car on 10th.
A counterfeit $20.
A burglary report. Attempted entry at River Road building.
An overdose on 10th Street.
An assault report.

Oregon State Police, Nov. 8 - 14
The following are crimes which resulted in arrests: DUII (two), reckless driving (one), unlawful possession of firearm (one), warrant (two).
Notable incidents
A hunter at Bull Prairie Reservoir reported finding two elk calves shot, one wasted, one with the backstraps taken.
A vehicle was stopped for speeding 95 in a 65 mph zone. The driver invoked their right to remain silent and, after investigation, was arrested for DUII, reckless driving and unlawful possession of multiple firearms found in the vehicle.
Four non-injury crashes. An eastbound Nissan Titan lost control on a spot of ice on the highway. Airbags deployed but none were injured. Separately, a Mustang lost control attempting to merge into I-84 from exit 87, and crashed into a guardrail and was towed. A Honda Civic hydroplaned on wet I-84, spun twice and skidded into the grass, stopping at a rock embankment.
Two injury crashes. A Toyota Tacoma stopped to make a left turn from US 97 to Boyd Road, when a Ford F250 arrived, collided with the Tacoma while trying to avoid it, then swiped a Ford F500 and a green Nissan van in the north land. The Ford F500’s driver was transported to a hospital for injuries, and the Nissan’s driver to be evaluated. The F250 was cited. Separately, a southbound Ford F150 left US-197 struck a sideslope when the driver swerved to avoid a rock near milepost 45, went over an embankment and rolled over. The driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
