Public Works crew installs new signage, the kiosk, and heat-thermal striping on Thursday morning as the City of Hood River prepares for a change in the parking system at the Cascade Avenue parking lot — at Fifth and Cascade across the street from the Post Office — to a shared parking lot effective June 1. The new design will be pay to park on the north half (at right), meaning users purchase a ticket at the blue pay kiosk in the center of the lot. Meanwhile, monthly parking permit only will be allowed on the south half (at left).
